Navigating a 'click to start' type course

Several In the Know courses are now designed to 'pop-up' in a new browser window. This mobile-friendly feature offers a larger screen and a better user experience.

If you open a course and see a green 'Click to Start' button, this article is for you.

If a pop-up window does not appear, you may have to 'allow pop-ups' within your browser.

For example, to do this when using Google Chrome:

1.At the top right of your browser window, click More (or three dots). Click Settings.

2.At the bottom, click Advanced.

3.Under "Privacy and security," click Site Settings.

4.Click Pop-ups and redirects.

5.At the top, turn the setting to Allowed.

The process is similar for different browsers.

Find the open tab and complete the unit.

When the browser window closes, you’ll return to your course dashboard. Here, you can either click on the ‘Completed. Let’s Continue’ button OR on the next unit title on the right.

To open the next unit, click on the 'Click to Start' button.

Follow this process until you've completed all units.

When you successfully pass the quiz, make sure to also certify completion of the course (on the slide immediately following the quiz).
To do this you'll enter your name as an electronic signature that you are the person who has studied the course and taken the quiz.

That's it!
